Extrusion Benders

A two-axis, PLC controlled bending machine provides for a unique functionality in the tube bending world. Designed specifically to bend parts that do not require a rotation, these machines are ideal for fabrication of window and door frames as well as similar parts shapes. This hybrid bender design is powered by a hydraulic bending system and electric servo control for the Y axis. The pusher style carriage and unique gripper system can move the raw material easily without excessive grip pressure or marking of the part. Special tooling can allow for bending two extrusions/profiles at the same time. Available in either draw or compression bending styles, the Pines Extrusion Bender series offers a unique solution for your specialized bending needs.

Model 1 Extrusion Bender

Configuration

The Pines Model 1 Extrusion Bender is built with the following standard equipment:

  • Counterclockwise rotation
  • 1xD bend capability
  • Water cooled heat exchanger
  • Standard pressure die-holder and master bar
  • Clamp die holder
  • Hydraulic under nose split die actuator
  • 7 Inch color touch screen Dial-A-Bend® DAB 7+ PLC Control
  • Dual palm remote operator control
  • Independent clamp and pressure die close
  • Y-Axis carriage – 17 ft of travel (may be extended or shortened)
  • Long arms and carriage adjustment to cover 8” radius
  • Laser scanner to guard the swing arm area

Many options are available to customize the machine. Including but not limited to:

  • Wipe bending adapter kit – conversion to compression bending
  • Carriage gripper pads – custom to extrusion cross section
  • Overhead tie bar
  • Fan cooled heat exchanger
